The municipality of Tekantó is located in the Mexican state of Yucatán.
Population
Tekantó is home for 3683 inhabitants, 1830 of them being male and 1853 female. 2516 people are adults and 571 are aged 60 years and more. Access to the social security system do have 3008 individuals.
Scholar education
Besides the fact that 361 people in the age-group 15 and older did not visit a school, just 399 people do not know read and write well.
Private homes
Of about 1011 occupied private homes 262 consist of one room only and 21 homes have a no other floor than soil. Sanitary installations are available in 871 homes and 499 are connected to tubed water and drainage.
