Puácuaro is located at a height of 2063 meters above sea level in the municipality of Erongarícuaro in Michoacán, Mexico. Its geographic location is at latitude: 19.602222 and longitude: -101.673889.

Population

Puácuaro is populated by 1807 people. The total population consists of 110 children aged 0 to 2 years, 107 aged 3 to 5 years, 209 children aged 6 to 11 years, 111 teenagers between 12 and 14 years and 115 aged 15 to 17 years. The number of adult people aged 18 to 24 is 250, in the age group of 25 to 60 years are 692 people and the over 60 years old people are represented by 213 people.

Dividing the overall population of 1807 inhabitants in only three age groups result in: 537 people aged 0 to 14, 1102 people aged 15 to 64 and 167 people aged 65 or more years. The male-female ratio is 86.1 men per 100 woman and the birth rate (fertility rate) is 2.78 children per woman.

In the group of children 3 years and older 1078 speak an indegenous language, 3 speaking an indigenous language but not spanish and 1064 people who do speak both, spanish and an indigenous language.
